Home > News & Incidents > Incidents reported to CURE News & Incidents: Incidents reported to CURE At least 10 ragging related suicide cases have been reported in the last 4 years!!! Here is a sample of the kind of incidents that are reported to CURE every year. The other sources of our information are students of the colleges with whom we personally met and talked... The identities of the victims have been suppressed. We do not put up all incidents here since the fear of getting isolated in the college looms large on the freshers. We deliberately delay the putting up of incidents in this section by at least 1 year. Nevertheless, this list is representative and should indicate the extent of the problem to the intelligent reader... We want to make it very clear here that the aim is not to sensationalise the stories or to intimidate the students who will soon be joining colleges but the fact is that such things are happening and we are really very disturbed and peeved that such a malignant tumour is plaguing the very institutions in the country where people are supposedly taught to hold respectable positions in various strata of the vast socio-economic life of the nation... We warn you that the incidents described here may be disturbing and since we have not edited the e-mails they may be explicit in nature... we advise you to read at your own risk.
